priceless life

Life present us with variety of options. The tricks, tactics and lessons of life beacons us the signal to walk the pavement of life. Some choose to work out the heavy hurdles first and learn the diffifult way of succes while others choose to gain confidence first by working off the smaller shutters in short span of time and finally face off the big obstructions later. I am quite impressed of the latter one where the watershed of "smart work" is conspicous over the "jard work" depicted in the first example. One of the amazing things of life is that there are some secrets which we people never ever share with anyone in this earth. We gamble over those secrets and cry if we fail vowing to fight back and celebrate within ourselves if we succeed. The precious peace of life is our lives. Certainly its a challenge that we smile for,we cry for,we live for and we die for.Every tense moment has an equal share of excitement and sorrow in it. Because those tense moments teach us how to appreciate the smallest seconds of our life and work out the smart way.

Vrrroooom….the F1 ride in Turkey!!!!

I love the moments when Steve Slater yells out the “game on” phrase while commenting in a F1 race. The Turkish Grand Prix proved to be yet another thriller for the audiences jam-packed with high series of action, drama, strategies and stints. For the racing teams, it turned out to be a good learning lesson for all teams. The tactical overtaking by Heiki Kovalheinen, hide and seek game between the Ferrari’s and Lewis Hamilton, the surprise 4 pit stop strategies of Lewis Hamilton(still landing him up on the podium) were just a gift for a perfect Sunday!!! The watershed between Hard compound tyres and Soft tyres seemed to be diminished as teams looked confused on the option. The qualifying session looked to be promising(despite the absence of super aguri team) as it was Filleppe Massa once again who reigned his pole position for 3rd consecutive time followed by Lewis Hamilton accompanying him in the front grid. The track was quite challenging as it presented a range of bumpy rides. Raikonnen was quoted saying that “if you make a small miscalculation riding those bumpers, you will find yourself on the debris out of the track”. It seemed as if Massa had mastered the track on the pre qualifying session and post qualifying session. The raceday unleashed the melodrama of raikonnen and kovalheinen dashing up and with the McLaren compromising his hard earned 3rd position in starting line up grid. The game became as usual exciting with Steve exclaiming on each and every critical moments. Alex Yoong was the guest commentator who gelled well with the commentary box sharing his experiences of misfortunes and depicting the scenario of what it takes like to be there in the single seater on the Humid tracks. In the starting of the race it looked like Massa will get an upperhand over Hamilton, but the introduction of Saftey Car played the game adding the advantage to Hamilton. Robert Kubica was gong great with his improved form giving an extra push fighting for 3rd place with Raikonnen. The commentary box kept on stressing the importance of sheer force which gave an added advantage to the big bastions like Ferrari, McLaren, BMW. Honda seemed to be struggling as the experienced Rookies Jenson Button and Rubens Barichelllo(who was racing his 250th grand prix) couldn’t any rhetoric prints on the standings. Force India was once again struggling to survive in this mega form of tactics and strategical arena. It feels frustrating to drive a technically low-configured car, especially for the experienced rookies like Fishichella, David Coulthard but I was pretty much impressed with the British(Coulthard) who was able to post a very impressive challenge to other teams despite riding his speed limited RedBull. Its pretty eminent that technology will win here, but teams like Ferrari, Honda, Williams, McLaren should not only continue to aid engines or chahis to smaller teams but to share some pretty useful concepts and lesions with them, else this mega form of racing game will finally turn out to be a race of handful cars. Still looking ahead of the next session at Monaco where the qualifying nearly decidedes the championship there as you have only a small tunnel presenting as the fastest lane giving the drivers a small and only chance to jam on the accelerators(and rest all chicane asking you to drop the speed limit down with brakes on)

a tribute to women on their day

once thought 'dead issue' of empowerment of women is on d verge of
resurgance again.80% of the population of india lives in the mud
striken rural areas(many of them though developed a lot).yet, women
have been fighting hard each in every battle with a great courage
in those areas which seldom sees the fate of developement.need a proof?
tune into prasaar bharti, every friday at 3.00 pm(indian standard time).
if this isnt all, then tune into prsar bharti from monday to thursday at
3.00 p.m.shows like sakhi saheli and hello saheli have got enormous
response not only from the urban areas, but have also established a
companion relationship with the women of villages.
while sakhi saheli reads out the letters from various areas
discussing the problems, issues and advice to the female listners, hello
saheli takes up calls from various women, adressing their well being
and shares their problems.what is seen in these shows is that a lot
number of acknowledgement is being recieved from those women whose
problem got solved through this media.the shows are filled with
jampacked calls and newsletters from all across the country.may it be
kashmir to kanyakumari, the show has witnessed an overwhelming response
from the public.initially i used to tune into the show for listnening
music(as being male i considered the show to be a mere song request
show).but, the show turned out to be a great help in offering
advice not only to female factions, but also to male listners.many
male viewers of other shows admit that they are a regular listner of
these shows.
from a barber shop to a beetle shop, the marketing outlets of
village never forget to include radio in their shop.apart from
newspaper, one or two telephones and post office, radio is one of those
devices which paves a bridge between the two communities of our
scoiety(rural and urban).emmotional psycology has taken over the
traditional ethics.today even if 4 men crack a joke on the suggestion
of the show for better behaviour towards women, deep inside soul at
least 3 persons must be wondering all day long whether they were
wrong and reconsider the advice.not only that, the show also establishles
an emmotional relationship of mutual understanding among its female
listners.
today i listned to a call where the girl named nirmala from bilaspur
(MP) was overwhelmed to call to the show and expressed sadness that
her parents did not support her in encouraging her to prepare her
again for civil services examination after she failed to make it in
2000.now,she has mustered all her confidence and is preparing for
civil service examination.she also mentioned how she faced problems
to go to her college which was 20 kms away from her village.the
anchor had a sweet talk and wished her good luck for future.
hats off to bravo.she has set an epitome for making right choices.the
shows are not hope but soul of women listners.the day isnt far when
this shows will be filled up with reading out the sucesses of women,
seldomly solving the problems of few womens.great work prasar bharati,
keep it up!

baijyant 'jai' panda

"excellent",the first word which comes to my mind when i read the interview of this BJD
politician Baijayant 'Jay' Panda.the 41 year old graduate from michigan technical university
has every nerves to run the mind name BJD in the (rajya sabha).
jwelled with articulate statements and explicit words, the young turk makes you
forget the 'junk' image of BJD or any political party of orissa.he made sure to enlist his
points conspicously and ensure that they are feasible.
it was during my summer vacations after 4th semester, when i was playing with the remote of
the television and suddenly paused for a moment to watch a debate in some news channel of
our country.after the comments of congress representative, the anchor introduced the NDA
representator as jai panda.i was elated to learn that there is not 'someone' but jai panda
who is sitting on the upper house of parliament at an young age.this man makes you realise
what is the difference between jai panda and someone.today when politics leaping towards
the younger generation is dominated by rahul gandhi, varun gandhi, sachin pilot, jyotiraditya
schindhya and naveen jindal, there's the exceptional 'jai' panda from orissa to march past
them.though the former are the members of lower house of parliament but listen people,
orissa is brisking at your pace!
enlisting practicle answers to the incendiary questions of the rediff.com correspondent,
it didnt took much for him to get a rhetoric feedback from the interviewer.at a time when his
party is nursing its wounds caused by the fire of kalinga nagar aftermath, his statements are
straight, simple and optimistic.the BJD in orissa gave us a lot of question to frame and
blot on its white, clean sheet.but he seems to check those stains and wash the dirts which
was stamped on his party's image.he strictly denied to compromise with any preconcieved
notions of interviewer and insisted on ground facts.
whether it be emphasizing on front
end planning(step by step shifting of tribals to a new place and ensuring skilled jobs
to be assigned to everyone) over back end planning,or higlighting the infrastructure as the
major dent of the trailing tourism of gopalpur,he framed his answers as logically correct
by supplimenting step by step solutions.he didnt shied to hide away the things that his
party has been working in pipeline to come out with flexible solutions in various issues.
he even highlighted that the job prospectus in orissa is booming and credited the
introduction to value addition services by BJD for bagging industrial projects.the only
regret i had is that in his last answer he replied "i am not in cabinet ministry,so i dont
know what exactly is government planning".i hope government seriously hears your outlines
and impliments them as soon as possible.orissa needs more jai panda in its political
hut.hats off to you sir!
